Very sorry to hear about Rusty's passing. I first met Rusty around the mid 2000s when he visited the Orkney Islands in the north of Scotland, He stayed at my parents small hotel where i was barman at the time. Rusty and i struck up a friendship and i took him to see some the sights. We did keep in touch and on his next visit he treated my then girlfriend (now wife) to a lovely meal. That was the last time i saw Rusty, although we did keep in touch via email for a time, unfurtunatly with one thing and another contact fizzled out. This morning i was going through old emails and i came accross some emails from "Hammondclockguy" with some photos and jokes. I decided to drop him an email. When it bounced back as undelivered i decided to google "Rusty Turner, Palm Springs" I was deeply saddened when the first post that came up in the search was his obituary. Im so glad Rusty chose our hotel to stay in, he was a lovely guy and im very glad to have known him, even though it was only for a short time. Once again i am very sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the family of Russell Turner. May you find comfort from the Scriptures. Mr. Turner is in God's memory. Soon God will end all suffering and pain. He yearns to bring back our loved ones to be reunited with us on the earth. Revelation 21:3,4. ~Sincerely

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".

Russell seemed like a wonderful man to know, Wow! After 52 years of being with his partner it brings a smile to my face to think that they are now together again. God bless

It has been so interesting reading about Russell, all his achievements, hobbies, and adventures. I'm sure his life led him to meet and inspire many people. His story reminds me of Ecclesiastes 3:13 which speaks of everyone finding enjoyment for all their hard work because it is a gift from God.  Thank you for sharing,  and please hold on to the hope that death one day soon will be swallowed up forever- Isaiah 25:8.

 He Will Call ( Job 14:13-15 )

Life, like a mist, appears for just a day, Then disappears tomorrow. All that we are can quickly fade away, Replaced with tears and sorrow. If a man should die, can he live again? Hear the promise God has made:

He will call; The dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing For the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, For our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, As the work of his own hand.

Friends of our God, though they may pass away, Will never be forsaken. All those asleep who in God’s mem’ry stay, From death he will awaken. Then we’ll come to see all that life can be: Paradise eternally.
