To know Chuck was to love him. All who worked with him will agree, I am sure. I had the good fortune of working with him several times over the past 20 years. Chuck was one of the funniest, most caring and sharing EE I have ever met. I am so thankful that our paths crossed and I got to know Chuck. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My prayers and deepest sympathy to his family.

Not sure if I can find the words to convey how great it was to know Chuck, just as I have no words to adequately convey my condolences. I knew Chuck in that I worked with him for several years at two different engineering firms. Chuck was always a great guy to work with, but more importantly was his perspective on life. He will truly be missed.

To the family of Chuck Hatcher - I want to extend my deepest sympathies. I know that your wonderful memories of him will help you through this difficult time. I was lucky to work with Chuck at SNC-Lavalin and Samuel Engineering. His wonderful sense of humor made everything easier and I am so glad to have known him.

My sincere condolences to Chuck's entire family. I had the pleasure of working for Chuck at multiple engineering offices in the Denver area. Chuck was one of the rare department heads that was technically excellent and also truly cared about his people. He will be missed.

Chuck will be missed. There are very few people that have the person to be as kind and giving as Chuck was to everyone he met. Chuck was always understanding and straight forward with his business life and he helped me in so many ways. I have worked with Chuck at diferent engeneering companys throught the Denver area since 1992 and was always happy to see Chuck come walking through that door. I just wish we had more time.

Chuck helped me get started in our business 26 years ago. He was my first and the best boss over the years. I will never forget Chuck. Thank you for everything!

Linda and I attended a get together here in Denver a few months ago, a bunch of us who worked with chuck over the years. We felt It would be a good chance to see Chuck since he had retired. We had no idea just how important that time really was. We must all take full advantage of every moment of our lives, it could be the last time we see someone. We had a great time with Chuck and he still had his "off center" sense of humur

Chuck was my boss at several engineering companies in the Denver area. He was very kind calm and caring a true gentleman in every way, it was a pleasure working with him. He will be missed.

02-28-2016 10:07 PM -- By: Kenneth Houghton,  From: Denver Colorado

I am very sorry to here about the loss of your beloved father and husband. I had worked with Chuck for approximately 30 years, (not sure of the exact time. I work with him at Samuel Engineering, Forerunner Engineering, Bateman Engineering, and Dravo Corp. Possibly others that I have forgotten about. While working at Samuel I always tried to talk to Chuck at least once a day, if for no other reason to hear his latest joke, latest word of wisdom, or his latest complaint because he still hadnít gotten the Corvette the he wanted. Chuck was one of the best, most helpful, most accurate and thorough electrical engineers that I worked with. He always came up with a solution for any problem that we might be having. He never complained (except about the corvette). He was a great mentor to so many young and older engineers and designers. The professional electrical engineering profession is much better in the Denver area because of Chuck. I was so privileged to have known and worked with Chuck through most of my carrer. My wife Fran also had the pleasure of working with Chuck at several of the same companies as I did. Chuck will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

I work with Chuck off and on during our 40 year engineering career. He was always an inspiration to anyone who work with him. I will always remember his wit and wisdom that we shared during our association.
