This is the first I've heard of this wonderful ladie's passing. I knew her as the greeter and sign-in lady at The Vancouver Prayer & Healing Rooms. I did not know, until reading who her relatives were, that she was the sister of an old aquaintance and his wife from Evergreen Christian Church a long time ago. I also had gone to visit her mother, Kelva a few times and took her a pair of slippers, I believe. I can almost remember Kelva's daughter stopping by that day. Little did I know that I would be coming into contact again with Kelva's daughter someday...and not be able to put all that together in my mind until after reading the tribute to her on this site. Small world. Though I knew her only a wee bit, I was blessed by her. I will look forward to seeing her again, someday. <3

I am Janelle Hildahl's father and the inspired relationship of her music. there have been many times that I have kicked myself into reacting to her whims on line to expose my solidarity wth her conscription with the gospel, although I did not feel it. There is a unifide construct to provide for all those who believe in the all saving grace of God.

How very sorry I was to read about the loss of your loved one. I know she will be deeply missed. I would like to share a few words of comfort to the family. Isa 25:8 Says that God will swallow up death forever and will wipe away the tears from all faces.
Its God's will to bring back our love ones and to restore them back to perfect health under perfect conditions by means of the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ (John 3:16) . We know we can always trust in God and in his word the Bible, This is what will give us the comfort and hope we need.

Barbie was my mom's best friend and I grew up seeing her frequently. She always had a way of making other's smile, bringing her encouragement, and empowering others. Barbie would write me notes and cards as I grew up, and her words always meant a lot to me. She was a beautiful writer, and I always felt inspired and empowered by her words, wisedom, and message of hope. She set an example of someone who had grit; when life brought challenges, she would rise to the occasion with confidence, assured in her faith and ability to overcome. She will always be remembered as a powerful, caring, and Godly woman. I am so grateful to have known her and recieved her encouaragement in my life. She will be greatly missed.

Barbara, the fun times we had. I remember when I first met you - I picked you up hitchhiking in the 70's. You were coming from an outdoor concert in Lake Oswego.
We lost contact, but you were always in my memories. Till we meet again Friend.

I meet Barb, 2014 while I was working with her doing face painting for a company picnic, she was so kind and her love for God and faithfulness for Jesus was so strong, till her last moments when I talked to her Sunday the 30th of October when texting to her, she mention to me how she was singing Bible verses, her faith had impacted me.
I will miss you sister in Christ, but I know I will meet with you in our Father house.

Loved ones, Barbara was the most selfless person I've ever known. She knew my name without a doubt, but always called me "short stuff" neither of us being tall, and we hugged while laughing. I will miss her greatly. She was a Prayer Warrior for sure, and has now joined the mighty saints who have gone before us, to join them in praying us through to our Destiny in Christ Jesus....Praying for you.

She was such a loving soul, I remember back in 1996 when I first met you, you took me and my son in with no problem, you treated my son as if he was your grandchild. you will be missed.

You must've been one fabulous mother because you have raised a amazing daughter, Janelle. I pray for your family as they grieve the loss of you, but celebrate the joy you brought to them!

You will always be missed but never forgotten. You touched each person you ever came on contact with in positive way and always showed us gods way. I'm very saddened that we will never see you again on earth but satisfied in knowing that you are dancing and singing with god and the angels. Make sure to give all our loved ones hugs from all of us on earth. Until we meet in heaven I'll be here on earth remembering you with all the loved ones you left behind.
I love you Auntie/2nd Mom/Barb
