I Am Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I am following the path God made for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call,
Then turned, and bid farewell to all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to sing, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found my peace at the close of the day.
And if my parting left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened deep with sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full I've savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wants me now ... and He's set me free.
~*WHAT MAKES A DAD....*~
God took the strength of a mountain.... The majesty of a tree....The warmth of a summer sun....The calm of a quiet sea.... The generous soul of nature.... The comforting arm of night....The wisdom of the ages....The power of the eagle's flight....The joy of a morning in spring.... The faith of a mustard seed....The patience of eternity....The depth of a family need....Then God combined these qualities, there was nothing more to add.... He knew His masterpiece was complete....And so, He called it...."DAD!"
