Memorial created 04-22-2008 by
Tim & Denise Clayton
Timothy John Clayton
May 1 1983 - May 18 2005

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Timothy John Clayton, known to family and friends as TJ, by his parents, Tim and Dee Clayton.  We will try to tell his story throughout this memorial website.  Our hope is that he will not be forgotten.

Please sign TJ's guest book and let us know you came to visit. We will remember TJ forever.

TJ was killed by a drunk driver on May 18, 2005.   He is still so much a part of us, we will not let his memory die.  We Miss and Love him very much!

TJ had a learning disability but he made it through high school and went on to Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV.  He was a part of the Art Program there and was so liked by his peers that after his death a special prize is given every year during the Student Art Show.  Called the Clayton Prize, the winner must exhibit TJ's style and spirit.  As parents, Tim and I are totally amazed and awed by the mark he made in the short time he was there.  This prize is an annual thing, and we plan on attending each one that we can.  What an honor for him!

I can't believe it's been 8 years.  We love and miss you.  My heart will forever be broken.

March 6, 2009 -

I think of you every day and I miss you.  I will love and miss you each day for every day of my life.  I hold all the memories dear and clutch them to myself like a blanket.  Look down upon us with love, for we all will remember you and your beautiful smile and your un-ending spirit is always with us.

I love you My Son,

Nov. 25, 2009 -

It's Thanksgiving tomorrow.  We miss you so much.  We are thankful for the time we had with you and you are always in our hearts.  Love you and miss you sooooo much.

Note to all:  Most of the beautiful pictures put together on these pages were done by our good friend, Sonya Dertinger.  We thank her with all our hearts.

Dear TJ:
It’s been 5 years…..
You were taken from us too soon. We miss your "onery" smile and the "wonder what he is up to" days. We just miss you with all that we are. If you look down and see our tears, know that it comes from pain, longing and wonder of what you could have been, but we haven't forgotten all that you were. We want you to know that we are so PROUD to be your parents. We love and miss you!

Chris, Dea & TJ

My sisters and I decided to have these pictures taken of all our children together for our Dad, Steve Hartman, in about the year 2001.  We are so thankful.  We cherish them.
