Captain Thomas Brooks was a Pittsburgh Firefighter for 12 years, He was loved by many on the force as in his regular life, He struggled to be successful and when he did finally make it in life it was taken away by an arsonist for insurance money.
Tom was a father of two, Kelly and Joshua, a good husband to Lynn (Sonic) Brooks and a Godfather to my son Dan and niece Cristy Maines of Chicago.
He always went out of his way to help someone, many knew him and many will miss him.
Tom went to South High School in the Southside of Pittsburgh, Graduated in 1972, and went on to the Navy and served on the U.S.S Dupont for 4 years, when he left the Navy he went on to work at the Reniasance Center in Detroit as a refrigeration technician, then Tom's break came he was accepted into the Fire Academy, he went on to graduate with high honors and in a short time became Captain, then on the frightful evening of Valentines Day the Brooks Family was rocked with the horrific news that our beloved brother was fallen in a tragic fire.
Tom was survived by 1 sister Kathleen Maines of Detroit, 1 brother Daniel J Brooks of Vandergrift Pa.
1 niece Cristy Ann Maines and 3 nephews Daniel A Brooks, William R Brooks and Thomas D Brooks.
Let him not be forgotten
We miss you Tom |
