Matan Zaks
January 13 1983 - April 25 2007

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Matan Zaks, whose life story is told throughout this memorial website.

Gift from God

He was born feet first, 2 weeks early and never slowed down until a palm tree stopped him completely.

Matan was born Thursday January 13, 1983 in a hospital in Poriya, Israel and lived on Kibbutz Kinneret. He moved to the United States when he was two years old.

He moved to Littlerock when he was three and went to Sunset View Elementary, Antelope Elementary School, Almondale Middle School, and Littlerock High School. He graduated from high school in 2001.

After high school, Matan went to Antelope Valley College, where he majored in Business Administration, Marketing, and Automotive Engineering. He graduated with an Associate's Degree in 2004.

Matan was into cars at an early age. Eventually he bought a dyno tuner and opened his own shop, All Wheel Drive Performance and Tuning. Matan loved working on cars and driving fast. He passed away suddenly, on Wednesday April 25, 2007 after bouncing off a eucalyptus tree and then colliding with a palm tree on Highway 126 in Ventura, California.

He is sorely missed.
