Our precious baby Leilah

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Leilah Joselynn Hopkins.  We are so sad that our little girl, Leilah, is not here.  However, we do have a hope from the Bible to see her again alive in a paradise earth. The Bible teaches that she is sleeping in the grave and isn’t suffering in any way because Ecclesiastes 9:5 says that “the dead are conscious of nothing at all.”  When Jesus was on earth he spoke of death as being like sleep and he showed that he could awaken the dead, just like you wake someone up who is asleep. At John 5:28, 29 Jesus said that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Leilah is sleeping and is in Gods memory and he will wake her up. He will give her a new healthy body that is not too small and weak. Isaiah 33:24 says that “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” God promises that someday here on earth “He will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain will be anymore.” at Revelation 21:4. A God of love, as the Bible says he is, at 1 John 4:8, wouldn't give us the blessing of a beautiful little girl and allow me to carry her for 7 ½ months, bond with her, and love her, and then decide that he wants her for his angel in heaven. Many people have been led to believe that God takes their children to be angels in heaven when they die. However, the bible doesn’t teach that God took my little girl to heaven to be an angel. When terrible things happen we all ask why?  But sometimes things cannot be explained. This is the time that many people blame God. However, at Ecclesiastes 9:11 the Bible says that “time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all.” So many times we suffer injustices for no good reason. The Bible teaches that God allows the suffering we see going on around the world, but he doesn’t cause it.  But he is not going to allow it to go on forever. He will put an end to it. Until that time though it is important to know who really is causing our suffering. 1 John 5:19 says that “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” It is the devil who is causing all the terrible things we see going on in the world. He is the reason our daughter is in the ground instead of here with us. He wants us all to blame God, but it is really him that is causing all these terrible things.  We find great comfort from knowing what the future holds and hope you do too. If you have any questions about what the bible says about the future you can email me at jskljjhopkins98@gmail.com or go to www.jw.org.  I would love to share more with you.  Thank you for visiting our memorial in memory of dear sweet Leilah.  Please sign Leilah's guest book and let us know you came to visit.  We will hold Leilah in our hearts until Jehovah places her back in our arms.

The world may never notice
     if a rosebud doesn’t bloom
Or even pause to wonder
if the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms
     or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way for all eternity.

The little one we longed for was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
is a light that still shines on.
And though our arms are empty
our hearts know what to do.
Every beating of our hearts
     will always remember you.

We’ll breath a prayer and close our eyes
and embrace you in our sleep.
Tiny little bundle of love – in our memory we will keep
Until the day Jehovah says – awake you little one
We will wait and endure together – for that day to come

So rest sweet Leilah, in your peaceful sleep and
we will hold on to our hope until our hearts can leap

For just as the sun sets and never fails to rise
with Jehovah’s love, we’ll be with you in Paradise.

 THE CORD

We are connected, My Leilah and I, by an invisible cord
Not seen by the eye.

It's not like the cord that connects us 'til birth.
This cord can't been seen by any in heaven or on Earth.

This cord does it's work right from the start.
It binds us together attached to my heart.

I know that it's there though no one can see.
The invisible cord from my Leilah to me.

The strength of this cord is hard to describe.
It can't be destroyed, it can't be denied.

It's stronger than any cord man could create.
It withstands the test, can hold any weight.

And though she is gone, and not here with me,
The cord is still there, but no one can see.

It pulls at my heart. I am bruised...I am sore,
But this cord is my lifeline as never before.

This cord is the love I feel for her every day
The love I have for my dear sweet baby Leilah.
Death can't take it away!

Go ahead and mention our Leilah,
Our baby that died you know.
Don't worry about hurting us further.
The depth of our pain doesn't show.
Don't worry about making us cry
We already crying inside.
Help us to heal by releasing
The tears that we try to hide.
We hurt when you just keep silent,
Pretending she didn't exist.
We'd rather you mention our Leilah,
Knowing that she has been missed.
You ask us how we are doing.
We say "pretty good" or "fine".
But healing is something ongoing
We feel it will take this lifetime.
We will just continue to pray
That in Jehovah's memory she will stay
Until death pain and sorrow
He completely wipes away.

Death leaves a heartache  no one can heal, love  leaves a memory no one can steal.

My sweet Baby Girl

Noone will ever know the strength of

my love for you

After all you know what my heart

sounds like

from the inside

Love

Mommy

Tiptoes

.

How very softly you tiptoed into our world

almost silently and

only a moment you stayed but

what an imprint your footprint

left upon our hearts.

A Wife who loses a husband is called a Widow. A Husband who loses a wife is called a Widower. A Child who loses his parents is called an Orphan. But,,, there is no word for a parent who loses a child, that's how awful the loss is.
