Dear dad,

My dad is my hero.  The strongest, kindest man you would ever meet.  His heart of gold would  have done anything for anyone, and did.  He led his life loving his wife, and his kids, and his grandchildren.  After suffering so many years, he left us.  But his hard working hands and pure heart deserved heaven.  We were allowed to spend his last few days with him by his bedside!  We watched as he entered heavens gates, knowing God would take it from there.

I know where you are, and I know it is beautiful.  We miss you here on earth, but know you are in a better place than what this earth had to offer.

Our days are hard without you here with us, but you were suffering, and it is not fair for us to wanted you to stay, just because life would not be okay without you here.

I love you daddy and I miss you so very much :(  My heart is sad each day, but I know you are walking the golden streets of heaven watching over your family!

Till we link the family chain again someday......I love you daddy!

Love, your little girl     Missy

God saw you getting tired
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
“Come to Me”

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best

Oh you fought to the end of your devastating battle.
My heart aches that you are no longer here with us today.
Everyday I look outside and see the birds fly beneath the clouds,
I believe it's the path to heaven.
I miss you grandpa.
Life's a journey.
Life's a battle.
Nobody ever said life was going to be easy.
Grandpa you don't know,
How much I wish you were here with us today.
You were a brave man you fought to the end.
I love you grandpa.

Your granddaughter Stephie Jo

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Do you not know?
   Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
   and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
   will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Memories Are Golden

They say memories are golden,
Well maybe that is true.
We never wanted memories
We only wanted you.

A million times we needed you;
A million times we cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly;
In death, we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place
No one could ever fill!

Merry Christmas From Heaven

I still hear the songs
I still see the lights
I still feel your love
on cold wintry nights.

I still share your hopes
and all your cares
I'll even remind you
to please say all your prayers.

I just want to tell you
you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders
above all the crowd.

Keep trying each moment
to stay in His grace
I came here before you
to help set your place.

You don't have to be
perfect all the time
He forgives you the slip
if you continue to climb.

To my family and friends
please be thankful today
I'm still close beside you
in a new special way.

I love you all dearly
now don't shed a tear
cause I'm spending my
Christmas with Jesus this year.

It's lonesome here without you,
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

I didn't get to say "goodbye",
And all the words I wanted you to hear.
I should have said them when I had my chance,
But I thought that you would always be near.

I ran out of time to let you know,
Just how much you meant to me.
I should have told you, but I thought you knew,
But now I will never know,If you really did see.

When l talk to you in my prayers at night,
I hope you can hear all I have to say.
I would have told you, if only I could,
Have had you back for one more day.

Perhaps there were words you wanted to say also,
That were left unsaid by you.
But I do know that you loved me,
As you knew that I loved you too.

We should always say what we feel in our heart,
As tomorrow may never come.
Speak those words today as you feel them,
And never lose your chance to tell someone.
Because We did Not Get to Say Good Bye"

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
