Garry Rothwell
19th August 1972 - 8th March 1994
(Aged 21yrs)
Garry was born in Armadale hospital Western Australia, he was a delightful
child always very pleasant.
He was always loved by everyone
who knew him.
Garry went through the usual
rebellious stage that most teenagers
seem to go through, he came through
that however and grew into a fine
young man who had everything to
live for.
He had a fianc'e who loved him as
as he also loved her.
They were about to move into their own house when he was tragically killed
in a car accident, there was no explanation for the accident. He was driving
on a straight piece of dual carriagway in the middle of the day and just
left the road, no other vehicles were involved.
We are still trying to come to terms with this very great loss, we have
been helped tremendously by The Compassionate Friends.
Without them we do not know what we would have done!
Since then my wife Carol and I have become very involved with TCF to try
and repay some of the help and understanding that we received from them.
In some way this seems to be the only way we can make any good come out
of this tragedy, if we can help someone else with this terrible burden
to carry, then our experience will not be wasted.
It isn't an easy road to travel, but with a helping hand it is so much
easier.
Garry you are forever in our hearts.....
With all our love always Dad, Mum and best friend and brother,
Steve

BEYOND
How do I see beyond this pain?
Jesus show me how
I cannot see the future
All I can see is now
Take this pain and turn it
Into a precious stone
Please give my life a purpose
Until you take me home
The path along this valley
Is full of dark despair
Sometimes I feel the heartache
Is more than I can bear
Oh Jesus! bring me comfort
Your never ending peace
That comforts me, and helps to
Bring the brokeness to cease.
