Happy Birthday, Nunie 💙

You know, I often ask myself why does time fly by so quick? Why do we keep getting further and further away from the days when you were here with us?..

I wonder what we'd all be doing with you, today. Would we be at John's incredible pizza? We all know that's your birthday spot and a 17 year old can be there just as much as a 10 year old can :)

Would we be bowling, maybe?? Just like we used to as a family for our family fun day sundays??

Or maybe take it slow and have some of dad's bbq here at home, just enjoying each others presence?

What i'd do to be able to experience either of those one last time. I miss you so much. I miss the memories we shared. I hope you are happy wherever you are. Safe with Jesus. Happy 17th Birthday Banunkanunk. Until we meet again.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. My heart still aches with sadness and secret tears still flow, what it meant to say I love you, only a few will ever know. But now I know what you want, is for me to mourn no more. To remember all the happy times, life still has much in store. Since you will not be forgotten, I pledge to you today, A hollowed place within my heart, to where you'll always stay. I love you so so much, Nunie. I still can't believe this even happened in the first place. We wish you we're here with us... Today Mom, Dad, Andrew, Eli, Ruben, Jacob, Caleb, Aulani and I will sit together as a family with a spot just for you. Two years has passed since you we're called to be with Jesus. Always remembered,  #TeamJoshForever

Today's booking had me think of you, Nunie! I was speaking with a mother and daughter who brought up how horrible cancer is and how a friend of the daughter who's name is Josh, Passed away of cancer. She said they went to school together. She then goes on how they followed his #JoshTacklesCancer and #TeamJoshForever pages throughout his whole journey and we're devastated when he passed. I got chills when they we're talking about him. I told them, Josh is my brother :) The mom gives her condolences and says "do you realize how much he impacted everyone's lives?" I did know, but It still amazes me when people I don't know, tell me they know about him. Miss you so much, Nunie. #AlwaysRemembered#MakingADifference
