Sherry Ann Glass was born on July 17, 1954 to Ora Lee Martin and Frank Sims in Portland, Oregon. She worked at several companies but the two she spoke the most of were Stay Clean and her last place of employment Cascadia Behavorial Healthcare where she was a Dual Diagnosis Counselor. Sherry was a CADC I (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor). She was in the process of obtaining her CADC II and was working towards her Master's degree.
Sherry had a lot of struggles in her life but the battle she was most proud of conquering was her alcohol and drug addiction. She was enrolled at Portland Community College. Sherry wanted others to succeed at recovery and devoted her professional and personal life with assisting people in overcoming their alcohol and drug addictions.
Those who came to Sherry to share a problem knew that she would be blunt and tell you exactly what she thought (whether you wanted to know or not). She held unconditional love for her family and friends. She showed her love and caring through her generosity, joking and helping others.
On October 13, 2005 she married a wonderful man, Orelee Glass. She loved his spirit and loving affection that he showered upon her. Sherry accepted the Lord and attended Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for several years. Sherry and Oralee recently became members of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Sherry shared her love for God with everyone she came in contact with.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents: Ora Lee Martin, Frank Sims and a great-niece Cody Lynn Hatfield.
She leaves to mourn her husband Oralee Glass; her children Shannon (Selwyn, Sr.) Stafford of Long Beach, California, Pamela Moffett, Anthony Fikes Sr., Felicia Moffett, Clifford Moffett Jr. and James (Evelyn) Moffett all of Portland, Oregon; her siblings Henry Lee (Susie) Martin of Flint Michigan, Spring Sims, Syble Corey both of Portland, Oregon and Brian (Patricia) Sims of Eugene, Oregon; nineteen grandchildren; the Glass family, Audrey Sims and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
