This memorial is a tribute to Doris who is deeply missed and loved.

After a lengthy and brave battle with cancer, on January 2, 2006, my mother succombed her soul into God's hands and her spirit into our hearts, where she remains forever.

Our love for her is like the everlasting glow of a candle.

Who Was My Mother?
Who was this lovely being?
Now, an Angel up above—
Her gaze could freeze you icily
Or fill your heart with love.

To her parents, she was a fragile child
Rheumatic fever in her midst.
Years in hospital can never replace
The childhood that she missed.

To her husband, she was a strength;
A force not to reckon with,
But a love so great, so wondrous,
They made a brood of six.

With her children, she was forceful;
Taught us to behave properly
With lessons and wisdom flowing,
"Be independent, strong and happy."

To all her friends and family,
A pillar they could always call
No matter the plight or circumstance,
Doris was ready to help in all.

In her community, she earned respect
For all her efforts and deeds,
She'd say, "I do all things with love,
That's all anyone needs."

She's known heartaches, so many,
Along with suffering and pain.
Now, God has brought her in His care
'Til we can be together again.

She Led The Way

Always at the forefront
Of any cause or care;
She loved to be of service
And she was everywhere.

Whenever someone needed,
She’d always lend a hand;
She’d somehow work her magic,
This woman, truly grand.

Her assistance extended to all
Whether sick, ailing or hungry;
Compassion was her precious gift;
Of it, she gave so freely.

She had such great demeanour—
Great friend, mother and wife;
Kindness and love her mottos,
For every walk of life.

Courage and strength, unrelenting,
She battled cancer’s might,
But, it took her down so quickly,
In the end, there was no fight.

She led the way to Heaven,
The gates were opened wide;
Beckoned her husband and mother
And, in peace, they both died.

She led the way to Heaven,
A golden crown, her reward;
And she is not alone now…
All three are with the Lord.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, Dear Ones:
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home...
In Heaven at last.

Our heritage lies beyond the boundaries of language or sexes. We are united by love... forever... no matter which government intervenes. We are French, English, Irish and proud of it all. I love you my Darlings!!!
Mom, xoxoxo
