This memorial is in loving tribute to the life of Gordon Joseph Cook ("Gordy"). Here is a small look at the life of a man who was violently taken from us while serving in Iraq - In the war against terror. Please feel free to sign the guestbook and share your thoughts or a memory you have of Gordy.

Gordo you were much more than a Son, a Brother, an Uncle, a Father or a Husband. You were a friend to any who knew you. You touched every soul you met in this life, You are the inspiration that makes us live, and continue to live. You have reached your destiny with honour, in hope that we all may reach ours.

In Iraq

When I must leave you for a little while, please do not greive and shed wild tears, just hug and keep your sorrow to yourself throughout the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile and for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same as you did before. Feed not your loneliness or empty days but fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I, in turn, will comfort you and hold you near.

We try handle it the best we can, Things will never be the same and without you our lives have forever changed. Where you have gone we cannot name. Only to know that one day we will be with you again.
