Memories

Memorial created 10-18-2006 by
Andrea Jones (Daughter)
Dale W. Jones Sr.
August 9 1939 - July 2 2006

(Please read about my wonderful step dad that I lost 20 days after my dad as well its titled 20th day tragedy)..

My Dad had a stroke in 2003 paralizing him on the right side of his body. He struggled to be independent and suffered with pain and discomfort daily. He had a pain that was so great in his bad leg on Saturday July 1, 2006 and went to the emergency room whom told dad to follow up with his doctor that following Monday. Dad passed suddenly Sunday July 2nd.  We are unsure of his cause of death but due to his circumstances and the pain that caused him to go to the ER it may have been a blood clot.

My dad served proudly in the US AIRFORCE.  It's rough when your handed that flag at the memorial service, but we were PROUD to own it and proud of our dad!

We had a tough childhood because my dad struggled to raise 3 of us alone, but that made no difference to us because we were deeply loved by our dad and I have so many wonderful memories that I enjoy sharing with my little boys often. I will have the highest respect for my father forever for every thing he ever did to make sure we were takin care of.

His favorite past time was hunting for arrow heads with our brother Dale Jr. and taking drives down quiet country roads. Telling stories about how "back in the old days...and remember so and so?"he would always forget he told you and tell you all over again..(smile) What Id give to hear it all again.

Dad never wanted to be a burden to anyone and we are glad he did not suffer a long sickness or any more pain. He comes to each of us kids all in different ways and at different times, im assuming to comfort us in our time of sadness and to let us know he is okay. I am very sad and selfishly wish my father was still here with us but I am glad he is home and free of pain and suffering. Dad you are truely my hero!! I love you and miss you so much!  I cant not express enough to be sure to take the time every single waking day to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. You never know if tomorrow will ever come! Dad you will be in our memories forever!!

I MISS MY DAD SO MUCH, I MISS BEING ABLE TO CALL HIM WHEN IM DOWN OR THINGS JUST AREN'T GOING RIGHT. JUST HEARING HIM SAY "I KNOW IT" .. IT'S NOT THE SAME WHEN YOU HAVE TO TALK TO YOURSELF AND HOPE THEIR LISTENING..

THIS IS WHERE THE COWBOY RIDES AWAY.....
